Football is the most popular sport in the world and is played in most countries.

Football is great for fitness and cardiovascular health. People of various ages and skill levels can participate in football, with those of various sizes being able to do equally well.

Football can also be a great sport for kids who may not have high levels of athletic ability, but who would like to participate in team sports. Football is ideal for boys, girls, men, and women, who play the same game under the same rules and where physically appropriate may play alongside each other.

INDIVIDUAL TRAINING PROGRAM

Soccer players need a combination of fitness attributes such as strength, endurance, power, coordination, speed, and agility, to perform and play at a high intensity considering games last 90 minutes plus, therefore as stated by (Stolen et al, 2005) success depends on players being mentally, physically, technically and tactically prepared for competition.

Going out to the field and just doing random exercises, and random drills with no purpose will almost do nothing for you. Individual training is fantastic and is nurtured to individual growth. But, individual training should SUPPLEMENT team training.

Individual training should NOT interfere with the energy and effort that you put into your team training.

Football is a team sport. You need to be able to succeed in a team setting. Individual training can be very beneficial, and useful in adding certain skills, actions, and techniques into your game. During the season, depending on how you feel (and the workload throughout the week), you can incorporate individual training and benefit from it!
